Will found her first rock a few months ago and has since became obsessed with painting rocks and putting our favorite uplifting messages on them because stumbling upon one is such a fun experience! We are hoping doing this will make a difference in the world by bringing a smile to someone face and inspiring people to be creative and positive out in their community. We hope our rocks help inspire people wherever they might end up!

What We Do

Rock Finding in Rock City was founded by Willow from Michigan and inspired by finding a painted rock someone had left at the local hospital. She asked why someone would do that? We told her it was to make someone smile and think of happy thought. Since then, we’ve made dozens of painted rocks and placed them for others to find. We have even managed to gain local support in our Community. We encourage community members of all ages to join us in bringing a smile to someone by painting a rock and hiding it somewhere noticeable or by finding a rock and sharing your story with us. We’d love to see what others have created and hear the story about how it helped someone smile.
